The World Bowls Tour is pleased to announce the appointment of Fozmuz as its exclusive Media advisor. Working in partnership with the WBT, Fozmuz will manage its rights, sales and production strategy with the aim of broadening and developing the media exposure of the WBT’s events, including the World Championships, throughout the UK and the rest of the World. David Murray and Robert Foster founded Fozmuz as a sport business advisory service at the beginning of 2014. Previously, David worked for 25 years in the Sports and Media industry for PWC’s Media Group, Hambros Bank Corporate finance in Media and Telecoms M&A, and as Head of Rights for BBC Sport. Formally a member of the Eurosport Consortium Executive, Vice President of the European Broadcast Union (EBU) Sports Committee, Chairman of the EBU New Media Sports Group, and member of the EBU Operations Committee (its commercial board). Robert has worked for 25 years in Production, Rights and Archive Management at the BBC, is a former Vice President of the EBU Sports Committee, and sat on both the EBU Production and Major Events Groups. Between them, they have agreed deals with most major sports federation’s agencies, production companies and UK and European broadcasters.

The Directors of WBT see this as an important and strategic move for WBT not only for the Professional Sport but also in helping the sport at grass roots level by creating a bigger ‘shop window’ for the sport in general. Fozmuz and WBT will also be jointly working together on the creation of new events aiming to extend the number of ranking events both here in the UK and also looking to overseas markets for the creation of new Professional events.

This will also enable WBT to offer new and exciting branding and sponsorship strategies for existing and new sponsorship packages to a wider audience with definitive value returns to the sponsors.

Richard Maddieson, CEO of WBT said, “This is a new and exciting time for WBT and I feel that this partnership will assist both WBT and the sport to move forward in many more avenues for the future and create new events for those members of the Professional Bowls Association that are looking to WBT for new events with prime Television Channels that are open to viewers across the globe.”

David Murray, Director of Fozmuz said, “We are excited to be forming a new long term partnership with the WBT. We believe there is significant potential to develop new opportunities for the WBT, bringing bowls to a new and wider audience.”
