Second match of the afternoon here at the Dewars Centre, Perth, Scotland in the Scottish International Open 2018 was between Irish qualifier Graham McKee and No.11 seed Mervyn King. It was King that took the lead fairly quickly going 4,1 up by the end of the 3rd. McKee responded tking two singles in the next two ends but it was King again in the 6th end taking a double to go 6,3 up. McKee put up a valiant fight but the first set went to King 8,4.
The second set again opened up with King in full control as he went 4-2 in the lead on the 5th end and really never looked back. Though McKee was not playing badly it was King that had taken full control with his inch perfect bowls and King went on to take the second set 9,4 to go through to round 2 where he face Philip Last.
