The second semi final between Mervyn King and Greg Harlow got under way and it was quite tense out there on the rink with both players under intense concentration wanting to make the final berth. It was King that seemed to get the better start as he went 6,3 up by the fifth end and took another double in the sixth. But then it all changed as Harlow powered into the game taking the next three ends in quick succession with twp double and a triple to swipe the first right away from under King’s feet in an amazing turnaround. 8,10.
The second set saw this continue as no matter what King produced Harlow was always just pipping him to the post and by end five Harlow was 0,7 in the lead. King did recover but by then it was a massive climb back and Harlow just kept enough to hold off King. No matter what King did produce it was no matter as Harlow just went on end after end to eventually take the second set 2,10 and Harlow goes into the final to face Scotsman David Gourlay
