Ross takes the glory in the opening game of Tuesday at the Co-operative funeral Scottish International Open here at the Dewars Centre in Perth. Having already taken the World No 6 David Gourlay out in the opening Chestney made short work of World No 11 Jonathan Ross in the first set winning 8.3. However the second set saw Ross get off to a flyer with counts of four, two and one taking a 7.0 lead after just three ends. Chestney was not about to let go though and battled on to win the next four ends and going into the final end of the set the scores were tied at 8.8. It was Ross who picked up a count of two to take the set 11.8 and take us into a match tie break for only the second time this week. First end went to Ross on a tight measure. Then Chestney saw his last delivery go through a gap at the second end and Ross took the match 2.0 on the tie break.
