In the last match of the evening, KatherineRednall was put through her paces by Rebecca Field from Norwich, also a previous winner and a beaten finalist last year to Falkner. Billed as the match of the locals where both Ladies are previous winners of this title it was set to be a great match.
Eight singles were scored in each of the nine end sets with Rednall breaking the sequence with a double on the seventh end of the first set and the fourth end of the second, giving her a straight sets 6-4, 6-4 win and a semi-final berth. Rednall goes through to play Amy Stanton in the second of the Ladies World Matchplay semi finals on Wednesday 25th January at 7.30pm.
