Orrey joins the homeward bound exodus from blackpool

6 May, 2016

In the last match of the day in the Co-operative Funeralcare European Masters it was Ireland’s Mark McPeak that took the honours against England’s Mathew Orrey. It was a cracking first set with both players really drawing well that saw the scores all level at 4 all going into the 7th end and then McPeak managed to hold off a determined Orrey to take a treble. Orrey came back with a double in the 8th end to go one behind but it was McPeak that sealed the set 8-6.

In the second set again it was all squared at 4 all going into the 6th end but yet again it was McPeak that took a treble away from Orrey and it was an unfortunate Orrey that just could not quite outdraw McPeak in the remaining ends and McPeak to the second set and match with a scoreline of 8,6 - 10,5
