The Scottish Sports Association gave Alex ‘Tattie’ Marshall MBE the treasured Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of Alex’s extraordinary results throughout his Scottish playing history.

From Tranent this man has become Scotland’s most successful Commonwealth Games athlete ever when he won a record fifth gold medal in the Gold Coast Games in Australia in an incredible 6th Games appearance for Scotland. Alex has been a Scottish International since 1987 and is a staunch advocate for the Sport of Bowls.

In his career Alex has won many Titles throughout his industrious playing time and he currently holds the record for the most World Titles (20), beginning with 3 Gold medals back in 1992 at the World Outdoor Championships and this continued through with Alex holding the World Bowls Tour Singles World Indoor Championship title no less than a record 6 times.
