Final quarter final in the Co-op Funeralcare International Open here at Newton Hall Holiday Park in Blackpool this afternoon saw the World Indoor Number 1, Greg Harlow, go up against the Scottish Ace, five times World Indoor Champion Paul Foster. Foster got off to a great start and he went 4,0 in the lead by end three. Harlow came back over the next two ends taking three shots to make it 4,3. Ends six and seven saw Foster take two singles to go 6,3 in the lead but Harlow came back at him in end eight with a single and then pulled the rabbit out of the hat on end nine to take a double to level the set six all.
Second set and both players started off a bit loose with neither really getting to grips with it but it was Harlow in the lead 2,5 on the completion of end five. Taking two doubles away from Harlow over ends six and seven Foster took the lead going 6,5 up but then Harlow sneaked a single away in end eight to level the set 6 all. Foster was lying game having played his third bowl and Harlow struck, the rabbit came out of the magic hat - the jack rebounded and Harlow now lay 3 shots game - Foster had last bowl to draw for game and somehow his bowl fell short and Harlow goes through to the semi finals.
