The final match of the day here was between the Welsh Wizard, Jason Greenslade and USA Qualifier, Steve Halmai and what a match that turned out to be. It was Greenslade that started out with terrific form going 4-0 in the first three ends but then Halmai turned on the spectacular and took 3 singles and a double over the next 4 ends to go 5-4 up. Greenslade played a blinder on end 8 to take a double to go 6-5 but then Halmai returned the compliment to take the last end with a double to take the first set 6-7.
It was nip and tuck between them both in the second set as Greenslade desperately tried to force a set win and tie break but Halmai kept his nerve with the scores being at 4 all on the 5th end. End 6 and Greenslade got a single then end 7 it was Halmai that took a single to make it 6 all. End 8 Greenslade managed to fight off Halmai and take a well deserved single to go 6-5 up but it was Halmai who took the final single with his last bowl to go 6 all and take the set and match.
