chestney turns it on

3 November, 2019

Last match of the day saw England’s Jamie Chestney up against New Zealand’s Colin Rogan who came through the route of the PBA NZ Qualifiers.

The New Zealander struggled to catch the pace of the rink to start with as it was running very fast and by end four in the 1st set Chestney was ahead 6,1. Rogan did not give in though and demonstrated his skills as he took a double and a single away from Chestney over the next two ends. With one each in ends 7 & 8 it was Chestney that sealed the first set with a three count in end nine to take the first set 10,5.

Second set and it was 6,3 to Chestney by end 5 and it was again Chestney that turned on the magic as he powered his way through the next three ends. No matter what Rogan put down it was Chestney that pipped him each end to take the remaining three ends and set 11,3.
