Last quarter final of the day was between Blackpool’s young gun, Mark Dawes and England’s Jamie Chestney. Both players have now sealed their spots for next season into the WBT World Top 16 so are guaranteed to appear in all WBT Ranking events next season. The match itself was interesting, set one was dominated by Chestney beating Dawes 11-4 - then the reverse occurred in the second set as Dawes returned the favour taking the second set 11-6 and into the tie break we went. It was Chestney though that held onto the big bowls and he took the first and second end to clinch the tie break and match.
