Here at Potters Resort it was the turn of Stewart Anderson up against New Zealand Qualifier Rob Ashton in Round 1 of the Just Retirement Professional World Indoor Championships this morning and it was an on form Anderson that did npot let Ashton into the fray. Despite Ashton’s best efforts it was Anderson that completely dominated the first set, not allowing Ashton a single moments respite and Anderson took the first set in storm 12-1.
Into the second set and again Anderson took a beleaguered Ashton to the wire on every end and quite simply left the New Zealander wondering just how he was ging to get anything away from an on form Anderson. Ashton managed to swipe three shots away from Anderson but it was to no avail as Anderson closed the 2nd set down and finished it 8-3 up for match.
