In the last of the quarter finals for the remaining berth in this afternoons semi finals in the ‘Just’ 2020 World Indoor Open Pairs it was a face off between Scotland’s Stewart Aderson and Darren Burnett up against the paring of Michael Stepney and Simon Skelton.
First set and it was Stepney and Skelton with first blood, taking a three on the first end but the response from Anderson and Burnett was immediate as they took the next four ends with six shots. End six Stepney and Skelton managed to take a hard earned single but the Scottish duo sealed the first set in end seven. Set score 8,4
The second set was a hard fought one but the same scenario folded out with Stepney and Skelton only being allowed to take two ends again and it was Anderson and Burnett that sealed the second set and match 7,4.
