The afternoon match between Scottish stalwarts, Alex Marshall MBE against Stewart Anderson turned out to be another high class act between these two top players. In set one it was definately a case of nothing to choose between either player as shots were regularly traded between them and at 4 all in the 6th end it was still anyones game. Marshall grabbed a single in the 7th and then Anderson took a double in the 8th. It was high class bowls from Marshall as he went on and then took a single to bring the first set to a 6 all draw.
The second set followed a similar pattern with the score at 4 all in the 5th end. Anderson took a single in the 6th, Marshall took a single in 7th to level, Anderson took a single in the 8th and then lay shots and match in the 9th but Marshall was the player that managed to hold off Anderson taking a double in the last set to take the match. 6-6, 7-6 - another match to watch on the youtube channel!!!
