Scotland’s 6 times World Indoor Champion , Alex Marshall MBE, went up against England’s 3 times World Indoor Champion, Andy Thomson MBE, in the 3rd quarter final of the day and it was a great first set for them both. One might say that Marshall was just a shade more consistant than Thomson as he got off to a 7-2 lead by the end of the 5th but Thomson responded taking 4 shots off Marshall in the next three ends but it was Marshall that played the killer bowl to take the set 8-6. In the second set both players took the similar amount of ends but it was Marshall that took the bigger counts to take the second set and match 10-8.
